Happy Easter to all! Christ is Risen indeed ;^) Church was just awesome today!!
OK today is a big day, and I am really excited for all of you guys as we are entering in to the wonderful 3rd week of our plan. You have put in some hard work to get into the St. Patty's green zone and this week is going to be PAY DAY for you. Some of you have already experienced some dividends in weight loss, appetite suppression and increased vigor. Now we are going to enter into the MILITANT zone.
Remember our Carb budget is:
Breakfast: 4 carbs for ladies and 5 carbs for men
AM Snack: 1 carb for everyone.
Lunch: 4 carbs for ladies and 5 carbs for men
Aft Snack: 1 carb for everyone
Dinner: 4 carbs for ladies and 5 carbs for men
Eve Snack: 1 carb for everyone
Now for this week for those of you that are experiencing noticeable appetite suppression: we are even going to go lower on some but not all meals. Which leads us right into our ...
3rd Week Assignments:
I don't know if you have realized this or not, but on the day that you eat eggs and fruit for breakfast you are only getting 1 carb. (Which is really quite cool) This week instead of doing eggs every other day, we are going to eat eggs 2 out of every 3 days. (This works out pretty well for most you that have all those extra dyed Easter eggs. We are going to put them to good use this week.)
The next assignment is to try to cut back 1 carb on your lunch meal. Ladies this may be a little more difficult for you than for the men. But I know that you can do it. If you can't do it every day this week that is OK, just try to do it 3-5 days out of the 7. Men you can actually do 3 carb lunches also and be just fine. This is the TRUE SECRET to my 25% weight loss from my peak weight. I strung many 3 carb lunch meals together day after day for probably about 6 weeks. During this time my weight dropped like a sky diver jumping out of an airplane.
Now I want to show you exactly what a 3 carb lunch looks like so you have a template to follow. You don't have to eat the exact same foods as i illustrate, but if you are willing to just mimic this meal for the week you will be doing really well.
BOB'S Lunch:
1 large garden salad with romaine lettuce, spinach, celery, broccoli, carrots, green or red peppers, parsnip slices, rutabaga slices, pea pods, zucchini, cucumber and cauliflower, topped with some sunflower seeds and a small amount of blue cheese crumbles and fat free dressing for flavor... ZERO CARBS
3 Large glasses of ice water... ZERO CARBS
8 Almonds... ZERO CARBS
7 low fat Triscuit crackers, topped with Kraft fat free cheese slices and a low fat lunch meat of your choice (read the dietary labels on these meats and look at total calories and calories from fat. I like the ratio to be around 50% or less)... 1 CARB
1 Nonfat yogurt, make sure it is the low carb kind, (again I mix a little unsweetened applesauce with Nancy Plain Honey yogurt)...1 CARB
1 Small apple... 1 CARB.
Feeling full on a 3 carb lunch meal.....PRICELESS
For everything else... there is Master Card.
You can use this card to make withdrawals from your Wells Fargo Carbo Bank Account!!
Have a great evening all
Love In Christ,
-Bob
I lost 50 lbs by just learning how to eat right and excercising. Im 54 years old and in about the best shape of my life. I'm a Paramedic Firefighter by trade, but I would like to use this blog to "life coach" others to conquer the battle of the bulge.
About Me
- Bob Elliott
- I've tried other diets and only had temporary results... Yes I tried the low fat one and "the zone" but now I have just stepped out on my own independent quest. This coupled with the fact that my doctor said I was borderline diabetic and needed to start taking Metformin has motivated me to take better care of myself for life. My peak weight was 209 and my current weight is 158. I would like to share with you how I did it and how you can do it too!!!
