The Parodox of Obesity

Now that the disclaimer is out of the way lets start talking about the core issues that need to be bedrock in your thinking...

I must be diligent to make certain that you really understand these concepts before we get into the nuts and bolts of how to lose weight and keep it off.

I also want to make this blog very personal for all who are involved so please reply to me as often as you can. Ask questions, tell me what your issues are and lets be friends and converse on a daily basis.

CORE VALUE CONCEPT
You are probably reading this blog because you are overweight. You are overweight because you are actually MALNOURISHED!!! This may seem like a small point in symantics but this will help you to understand why you are gaining weight. Your body is not getting the right kind of sustenance so it is craving more food so you eat bigger portions or eat when you are not hungry or find solace in pigging out on comfort foods. So avoid any guilt trips here and understand that your body is really doing what it thinks its suppossed to do. Hence the paradox of obesity.
Your body is also yearning for you to feed it the right kind of foods and it will reward you handsomely when you do so. So this is my job to really help you to engage your brain power to figure out what your body is really yearning for deep down inside. I am not going to starve you here. But your body is going to realize that it needs less caloric input than you are giving it. I believe that this is so important of concept to communicate that I am going to stop here and just let this part sink in.

  1. Okay I will let this sink in. I know to do this; I just need to find a method of controlling the caloric intake so I can easily manage it.

  2. April: We will get there in time... this is a marathon and not a 100 yard dash so we need to get all the core concepts in place first then we will dig into details.
