OK so I have spent some time out on the web looking at other weight loss blogs and sites...much of it is not pretty! There is one that says eat lots of chocolate and you will loose weight. They are very serious about it and have a "chocolate regimen" that you need to follow. Another blog is on the right track nutrition wise but the guy cusses and shames and scolds his clients into submission which will not work well in the long run. Some blogs dole out information about certain foods that is just not true... Some blogs tell you take the square root of your fat calorie intake for the day, then divide that by 7 and that is the amount of carbs you need to take in per day. There will be some math involved in our system but I promise you it will be simple and user friendly. Then there are the snake oil salesmen with the miracle pills or milk shake that is going to just take care of your issues. I think that the content of this blog is going to be one of the very best out there. You have come to the right place, I am going to take good care of you.
Some of the information I am going to share with you comes from the diabetes awareness and prevention class @ Lebanon Community Hospital so I give them qudos here. Most all of the examples and communicating of concepts are my own work. I hope that they are successful so that you have full understanding of what is involved. If it doesn't fill the ticket, I will keep trying until we find out what works.
Quick break, I will be back in a few hours.
I lost 50 lbs by just learning how to eat right and excercising. Im 54 years old and in about the best shape of my life. I'm a Paramedic Firefighter by trade, but I would like to use this blog to "life coach" others to conquer the battle of the bulge.
About Me
- Bob Elliott
- I've tried other diets and only had temporary results... Yes I tried the low fat one and "the zone" but now I have just stepped out on my own independent quest. This coupled with the fact that my doctor said I was borderline diabetic and needed to start taking Metformin has motivated me to take better care of myself for life. My peak weight was 209 and my current weight is 158. I would like to share with you how I did it and how you can do it too!!!
