OK so I had another conversation with my wife concerning the blog. Should I quit or keep on posting?
When I complain about the site running out of gas, she keeps on telling me not to throw in the towel. She told me that people are still just lurking on the sidelines. I think that she is right. I need to keep on keeping on even though its really difficult for me right now.
I think it was truly easier for me to lose 50+ pounds than to continue to work in a vacuum of noncommittal in the blog. I perceive this as a time of testing for both blogger and bloggies. I am reminded of one of my favorite movies: Galaxy Quest. Tim Allen quotes the infamous one liner. Never Give up, Never surrender. So OK I will not give up on you!!!! I will not surrender!!!
I lost 50 lbs by just learning how to eat right and excercising. Im 54 years old and in about the best shape of my life. I'm a Paramedic Firefighter by trade, but I would like to use this blog to "life coach" others to conquer the battle of the bulge.
About Me
- Bob Elliott
- I've tried other diets and only had temporary results... Yes I tried the low fat one and "the zone" but now I have just stepped out on my own independent quest. This coupled with the fact that my doctor said I was borderline diabetic and needed to start taking Metformin has motivated me to take better care of myself for life. My peak weight was 209 and my current weight is 158. I would like to share with you how I did it and how you can do it too!!!
Well in my opinion Bob no you should not give up on this blog. You have been a great inspiration to me and the others. We probably don't tell ya thanks enough but honestly just havin someone like you that we know moving us forward helps alot. I always thought you were a very sweet person but I never thought you would help change my life. And you have thank you!!!!!! I know I'm behind the others but hey I will catch up
